A great way for companies to get exposure to school leaders and to demonstrate their commitment and support to public education is by sponsoring or advertising at various events and activities. GSBA provides a wide variety of sponsorship and advertising opportunities and will work with your company to help determine which one is right for you.

Annual Conference at the Waverly

GSBA Conferences

GSBA’s two signature events of the year are the GSBA/GSSA Annual Conference and the GSBA Summer Conference and Delegate Assembly.

The GSBA/GSSA Annual Conference is typically held on Thursday and Friday of the 1st week of December at The Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, GA.  This conference is a joint event between the Georgia School Boards Association and the Georgia School Superintendents Association and brings together elected school board members, school superintendents, state and local education leaders and stakeholders to network and learn about the latest developments in education.

The GSBA Summer Conference and Delegate Assembly is typically held the 2nd or 3rd week of June at The Hyatt Regency Hotel in Savannah, GA.  This conference brings together elected school board members, school superintendents, and education leaders to network and learn about the latest developments in education. The Delegate Assembly is the business meeting of the association where each school board’s delegate can vote on legislative positions, elect officers and handle other business.

Exhibit Booths

At each of GSBA’s two statewide conferences, opportunities are provided for companies to exhibit.  Priority is given to companies based upon their financial support of GSBA in the prior fiscal year.  This funding may come in the form of business partnerships, associates, grants, advertising, or sponsoring of association events.

Exhibit booth selections are made as follows:

  1. First Priority – One month prior to the event, GSBA will open up registrations for the NEXT year’s event to those who have provided financial support to GSBA in the prior fiscal year.  50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a space.
  2. Second Priority – If spaces are still available after the first priority selections are made, then at the current year event, companies exhibiting at the event will be offered an opportunity to secure a space at the NEXT year’s event. 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a space.
  3. Third Priority – After the event, if there are any spaces still available, they will be opened up to companies who have not provided financial support or exhibited at the current year event.  50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a space.
